Having grown up a reluctant exerciser who never really "got" sports, I struggled to find a form of movement outside of dance or yoga that felt natural in my body. Fast forward 30 years, I discovered that I was an incredible powerlifter. I couldn't get enough! As an trainer, I then discovered kettlebells, the steel mace, and steel clubs offered the same flowing movement of a yoga vinyasa or dance class, but with the power and elegance of weight lifting. Hooked! So in my classes and training sessions, you can expect to find an amalgamation of functional core and mobilizing exercises with strength moves that take weight into asymmetrical positions. The result? A rock solid bod that is as durable as they come!
My desire is to make movement accessible and fun. By getting parents involved, having children come into the mix early and often, and by offering a wide range of options for exercise, I hope to inspire families to get moving together so that kids like me don't wait til they are 30 years old to find their groove!
